Who is responsible?
Operator details pending operates FinderNook. For privacy questions, access, correction, withdrawal or deletion requests, contact admin@findernook.com. 7 Comber Drive
What we collect and why
If you submit an enquiry, we collect your name, email, optional phone number, location and message to manage your request and make the introduction you choose. We record your permission wording, the recipient named at submission, the notice version and submission time. Our intended basis for these enquiry activities is your consent, which you can withdraw by contacting us.
Private partner messages
Business representatives and FinderNook can exchange private workspace messages. Message content is encrypted in storage and kept for the configured retention period after the latest reply. Messages belong to the business workspace; a replacement authorised representative can see its retained conversations. Workspace messages do not send email or push notifications.
Early business applications
Early-partner signup collects business information and private representative contact details to review applications, discuss participation and prepare unpublished storefronts. Signup does not subscribe applicants to unrelated marketing or agree commercial terms. Applications expire under the retention period below; approved business drafts are managed separately. Contact the operator to request correction or deletion.
Storefronts and order requests
Business representatives can use a private invitation to supply storefront copy, photos, product and service information, and approve a preview. FinderNook reviews and publishes that content. Uploaded images are resized and embedded location metadata is removed.
A storefront request records your selected items, displayed prices, preferred timing, contact details and sharing permission. Only FinderNook and the named business can access its customer details. The business uses them to discuss availability, payment and fulfilment. When configured, a transactional email tells the business that a request is waiting; it contains a reference and inbox link, not your contact details.
Storefront contact details are removed after 90 days or earlier on request. Item snapshots, sale/refund totals and commission records remain for business record keeping; these retained snapshots exclude your contact details and message. Contact the operator about deletion or correction. A business may already have received your information and is responsible for its own copies.
Panel introductions
On panel pages, you choose your first provider and can separately permit alternatives from the named list. We store that list and your choice at submission. We approach one provider at a time and tell you before a new introduction. A new provider added later is not included in your earlier permission. You may cancel or withdraw permission by contacting us. We record allocation history and outcomes to manage your request; these records are removed with the live enquiry.
Who receives it?
FinderNook’s operator can access your enquiry. On a single-partner page, you choose whether to share with that named business. On a panel page, your choices above determine the permitted recipients. When there is no participating business, we do not share your details without asking you first. A later renter does not automatically receive earlier enquiries. Participating businesses are responsible for explaining their own subsequent use of information.
Storage and retention
Contact details and messages are encrypted in our application database. Our hosting provider processes data to run the service. Enquiries are automatically removed from the live application after 90 days. Secure backups may retain copies until they expire under the operator’s backup schedule. We do not sell a general contact list or automatically subscribe visitors to marketing.
Cookies and security
We use a necessary session cookie for secure form submissions and owner login. It lasts up to eight hours. This foundation does not include advertising or analytics cookies. Short-lived hashed connection identifiers help limit abuse. Hosting infrastructure may keep separate security logs.
Your choices
You can ask to access, correct or erase your information, withdraw consent, or raise a concern. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out. Depending on the circumstances, you may also have rights to restriction, portability and objection. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
