We research service types and locations, then create informative profiles. A profile may initially have no participating business. We say so clearly.

Listings and checked panels

Basic business listings can be free. Claim confirmation, provider checks and commercial participation are separate. Some service pages offer a named provider panel with optional alternatives, one introduction at a time. See how checks work.

Businesses pay to participate

A local business can rent a profile to present its services and receive relevant enquiries. FinderNook owns and manages the directory and its pages. A paid profile is not a claim that a business is the best, independently vetted or recommended.

You control the introduction

Before sending an enquiry, you’ll see whether it goes to FinderNook only or is shared with a named participating business. If nobody is participating, we will ask you before sharing your details later.

The work is between you and the provider

Availability, quotations, qualifications, insurance, pricing and any agreement for work should be checked directly with the business. Sending an enquiry does not book or purchase a service.
